The Threadbone Press has today released the third volume in its Corporate Fantasies Series written by ex-novelist Georgy FF Peorgy. In Thread of Bones the prolific author once again explores the world of corporate business through the TV-derived trope of popular fantasy/science fiction. "CorpFans" worldwide will be delighted with the results.
The third volume in the Corporate Fantasies Series is likely to prove popular with pushy parents. Children will make up their own minds.
As in previous volumes, time-traveller and cyberprof Brigham Duelease (loosely modelled on legendary Culinary Bio-ethicist Professor Brian Thrupiece whose whereabouts, following a still unexplained disappearance from a Swiss hotel bedroom, remain unknown) takes us on a whirlwind educational adventure through the complex time-space entity which is the Threadstone Company, introducing us, in the process, to the fascinating proto-capitalist financial systems and everyday human resources dilemmas of a major water-powered medieval corporation.
"The book is both entertainment and instruction" says leading Threadbone Press Educationalist and professional killjoy Jack Adul-Buoy. "Mr Peorgy takes the view - as do we - that children of whatever age need discipline in their reading as well as excitement. Where there's reading there's a chore is more or less our collective view and if children must read, then for goodness sake let them learn something from the process - in this case, how to run successfully a multi-million pound enterprise. They will thank us in later life I assure you, even if they hate us right now".
Previous volumes have seen Cyberprof Duelease in outer space (Episode 9: The Last Professor) and in a frighteningly dystopian Moor Crichel where violent crime has seen postmistress Mrs McGiddycuddy lose over £3 twice in a month (RoboProfessor).
All three volumes are available from Threadstones, the high street bookseller and from most Charity Shops and Second Hand Stores. Threadfam, the leading Dorset Charity Shop said they were expecting significant quantities of the the latest volume "very very soon".
