A Different Reader Writes #587 aka the 2024 Readers' Appeal

As a reader I write in response to [a] A Reader Writes No 586 and [b] An Editor Writes No 2765. Towards the end of latter the editor asks: Could it be that it is this reference to "a song and dance" which has misled film makers into believing that the momentous moment was marked by singing and dancing and that the fluff joined in?

As a reader of his ludicrous suggestion, my firm and considered in response is: NO.

All right-thinking people will agree.

Yours sincerely
