For once our press - be they tabloid or broadsheet are united in their choice of lead story. We add our own special tribute on this "day of days".
As the poet wrote:
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will try very hard not to forget them.
